Lee Maniscalco
Non-executive Board Member & Strategic Advisor
Former Haymarket Media Inc. CEO Lee Maniscalco joined the company in 2001 to head up a fledgling medical business. During his tenure the US business grew to over $130 million in annual revenues and 450 employees. Under Lee’s leadership, Haymarket established a strong foothold in continuing medical education, developed a family of online journals serving 20 medical specialties (including oncology), launched a medical information network reaching more than 2 million healthcare professionals, and branched out from a traditional publication model to offer live and virtual events, conferences and awards programs. Lee also guided the company through its transformation from a print-based to a digital and data-centric enterprise.
Believing that corporate social responsibility begins at the top, Lee established and nurtured a company culture of giving back to the community. Through individual and corporate donations and generous amounts of volunteer time, Haymarket and its workforce support a wide range of worthy causes, from soup kitchens and environmental cleanups to domestic violence prevention and cancer research.
Prior to joining Haymarket, Lee worked at Thomson Medical Economics for 17 years, three of them as Chief Executive of a business unit that included the flagship magazine, Medical Economics. The company also published the Physician’s Desk Reference. He began his career as an analyst and manager of financial and database systems, a perspective that proved helpful in navigating Haymarket’s digital migration.
Lee stepped away from his role of CEO in June 2025 and will stay on with Haymarket as a non-executive Board member and strategic advisor. He is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BA, Humanities.
Lee and his wife Christie live in Haworth, New Jersey, and are the proud parents of two daughters pursuing professional careers in the business world.
