The company’s impact-driven initiatives set benchmarks in carbon reduction and workplace diversity
Haymarket Asia has been honoured with two awards at the ESGBusiness Awards 2025 – the Carbon Disclosure Award and the Inclusion and Diversity Award. This marks the second consecutive year that Haymarket’s Asia business has received this dual recognition for its efforts in environmental sustainability and commitment to diversity and inclusiveness.
The awards, presented at a ceremony in Kuala Lumpur, shine a light on the tangible difference Haymarket’s Impact agenda continues to make — embedding ESG principles into everything the company does, from its operations and supply chains to its policies and content.
A jury panel, comprising senior representatives from major consultancies, including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Boston Consulting Group, KPMG, Ernst & Young Consulting and Kearney, recognised Haymarket Asia’s environmental credentials. These include a 13% reduction in energy use, and the implementation of ISO-certified policies governing carbon reduction, renewable energy, and waste management.
For the Inclusion and Diversity Award, Haymarket was commended for building an equitable workplace, where women make up 76% of the workforce. The jury also acknowledged the company’s active role in amplifying diverse voices through partnerships with charities like Mother’s Choice, which supports young women in crisis, and The Zubin Foundation, which aids ethnic minorities. Initiatives such as Campaign Asia’s ‘50 Over 50’ awards list further demonstrated this commitment.
The ESGBusiness Awards celebrate corporations and leaders in Asia who demonstrate exceptional commitment to building a sustainable future through outstanding environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.
Reflecting on the wins, Haymarket Asia’s Managing Director, Atifa Silk, said: “This recognition is a reflection of the progress we are making through Haymarket Impact in Asia. It recognises our measurable achievements in reducing our environmental footprint and building a truly diverse and inclusive workplace. It celebrates the hard work and dedication of our colleagues, who ensure we use our voice responsibly to positively influence our communities, value diversity and inclusion and reduce our negative impact on the planet.
