Haymarket Wins Big at the 69th Jesse H. Neal Awards

We are thrilled to announce that Haymarket took home four wins at the 69th annual Jesse H. Neal Awards on April 21, 2023. The Neals, awarded by the Software and Industry Information Association, are the most prestigious editorial honors in the field of business-to-business journalism; the Oscars of B2B, if you will. Fifty-nine awards were presented across 24 categories; Haymarket titles were nominated seven times and won four. Bat four-for-seven in a baseball game and you become an All Star.

McKnight’s John O’Connor won for best commentary/blog for his Editor’s Notes among brands with revenue of $3 million to $7 million.

MM+M won for best art direction for a cover, for Sean Ayling’s Diversity Issue cover among brands with revenue of $3 million to $7 million.

MM+M’s Marc Iskowitz won for best range of work by a single author among brands with revenue of $3 million to $7 million. This is the second year in a row Marc has won the award, a Bradyesque feat given the quality of the competition.

The PRWeek Podcast won best podcast among brands with revenue of $3 million to $7 million. The weekly podcast features Steve Barrett, Frank Washkuch, Diana Bradley and Ewan Larkin, and was launched more than 15 years ago, a visionary early adoption of a content form if ever there was one.

It’s worth noting that PRWeek had been shortlisted for the best range of work by a single brand among brands with revenue of $3 million to $7 million. The Medical Group’s Rare Disease Advisor was also shortlisted in two categories: best range of work by a single brand among brands with revenue of less than $3 million, an impressive feat for such a young brand, as well as for its Rare Care Podcast.

Please join us in congratulating our winners and nominees. Their names may be on the trophies (which you’ll soon see in the increasingly crowded lobby trophy case), but we all know it takes a talented team made up of players from all divisions and job functions to help win awards such as these.  The competition was fierce; a win says so much about the quality of work and dedication we’re all capable of.
