Talent from ENDS Report, Haymarket Business Media, Performance Marketing World, and Campaign among this year’s winners
Four Haymarket colleagues have been honoured at the 2025 PPA Next Gen Awards: Shosha Adie, Senior Reporter at ENDS Report; Melissa Clarke, Senior Events Manager at Haymarket Business Media; Reem Makari, News Reporter at Performance Marketing World; and Jamie Rossouw, Data Journalist at Campaign.
The awards spotlight professionals across publishing and specialist media who are driving innovation and making an impact in areas such as editorial, events, marketing, and data. This year’s winners reflect the breadth of talent and expertise shaping the future of the industry.
Shosha said: “It’s very exciting to be recognised on this list, and I’m looking forward to making the most of the opportunities the Next Gen programme offers. I’m super grateful to my editors for pushing me to apply for this award, as I would never have put myself forward otherwise – and for taking the time to write me such supportive references. The application process was also a great opportunity to take stock and reflect on some of the work I’m proud of, as it’s always so go, go, go – moving forwards, towards the next big story, without looking back. So I really hope anyone else who’s thinking about it, or maybe didn’t apply for it this time, will just go for it next year too!”
Melissa added: “I am so excited to have been recognised alongside some fantastic colleagues and industry professionals on this list. Representing live events is a real privilege, and I’m looking forward to making the most of the opportunities the PPA offers.”
Reem shared: “Being selected as a PPA Next Gen Award winner is a huge personal achievement and a career highlight I’m incredibly proud of. Over the past year, I’ve pushed myself out of my comfort zone with the projects I’ve taken on, and it’s rewarding to see that hard work pay off.”
Kate Magee, Global Intelligence Editor at Campaign and Jamie’s manager, said: “Congratulations to Jamie for being named a PPA “30 Under 30″ winner! Jamie has a great blend of project management acumen, data analysis skills and the ability to build important industry relationships. She is ambitious, always seeking new challenges. For example, she launched and runs our creative rankings, a proprietary database she built from the ground up. Jamie is also spearheading a crucial new product launch, which has required months of dedicated effort. Bravo.”
The winners will be celebrated at an event on Wednesday 15 October at the Virgin Hotel Shoreditch.
