Haymarket Media Group partners with award winning social enterprise Hey Girls

The company’s UK business provides free sustainable period products in it’s offices

London, 12 July 2024: Haymarket Media Group has partnered with Hey Girls, a female-led social enterprise dedicated to ending period poverty. The media, data and information company now provides sustainable period products in all its UK offices. 

The partnership aligns closely with Haymarket’s sustainability agenda, Impact, and its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). Hey Girls donates 100% of its profits to eradicating period poverty and, for every product purchased, they donate an equivalent product to those in need, working in food banks, refugee shelters, health clinics, and community centres across the UK.

Hey Girls’ commitment to sustainability was recognised at COP26, where they were awarded ‘Heroes of Net Zero’. Their products, made from 100% certified organic cotton, bamboo, and cornstarch, highlight the company’s dedication to natural, responsibly sourced, and renewable materials.

Kate Smith, Hey Girls Co-Founder, Director, Donations Manager, and Menstrual Educator hosted an insightful webinar for our UK colleagues. The session addressed the importance of period poverty education, sustainability, and support for menopausal symptoms, providing a safe and inclusive environment for employees to ask questions.

Speaking about the partnership, Kate added: “We are thrilled that Haymarket has chosen to partner with us to supply their washrooms with free sustainable period products. By partnering with Hey Girls, they are actively contributing to the fight against period poverty in the UK through our Buy One Donate One model, which puts period products back into the community. Additionally, Haymarket has participated in a Menstrual Equality webinar to better understand the importance of discussing menstruation in the workplace and beyond.
