Recognising outstanding individuals and teams across the business
On Wednesday 18 June, Haymarket proudly revealed the winners of The People Awards 2025 – its prestigious global internal awards programme. These awards celebrate exceptional individuals and teams across six categories, recognising those who consistently go above and beyond, and whose work reflects Haymarket’s core values and commitment to its people.
Charmiane Alexander, Digital Editor at PrintWeek India, was named Colleague of the Year. From curating newsletters and managing podcast production to leading major brand initiatives like The Power 100 and Women to Watch, Charmiane is the go-to person for the team. She quietly ensures everything runs smoothly with her technical skills, reliability and humility. As one judge put it, she’s “the glue behind PrintWeek’s success.” Judges also praised her for inspiring new joiners with her work ethic, insight, and mentorship.
Jinna Zhang, Relationship Lead at Campaign Asia-Pacific, won the Emerging Talent award for her outstanding performance over the past year. A true self-starter, Jinna embraced new challenges with confidence and made a significant impact, including delivering a successful Campaign Summit with no prior experience. Judges described her as a resourceful and talented individual with huge potential, making her a standout rising star.
The Environment Network Group, made up of employees from across Haymarket’s UK divisions, took home the Impact Innovator award. This group has successfully united colleagues to drive forward environmental initiatives, turning ideas into impactful actions. From leading Digital Cleanup Week to serving up delicious vegan curries for World Earth Day, their energy and creativity have inspired lasting change. Judges praised them for brilliantly engaging the business in environmental and social progress.
Tara Hill, VP of Marketing & Campaign Performance in the US, was recognised as Leader of the Year for her consistent delivery of outstanding results and inspirational leadership. Judges commended her as a “proven leader” who sets clear, challenging goals and motivates her team to exceed them. Her track record of campaign success, commitment to team development, and collaborative spirit stood out as key strengths. Tara leads a significant part of the business and truly ticks every box.
Also in the US, Sharon Hill-Ingram, Associate Director of Partnership Marketing, was named Star Performer. Known for her unwavering dedication and collaborative spirit, Sharon expertly manages a high volume of programmes while working seamlessly across business development, marketing, finance, and production teams. Judges described her as the true embodiment of a star performer – combining hard work and kindness in everything she does.
Automotive’s What Car? Editorial team earned the Team of the Year award after an exceptional year of collaboration and performance. Their strategic focus on SEO led to a 19% increase in ‘make model’ search visibility, a 26.5% boost in review readership, and a 113.7% rise in top 10 list traffic. They also doubled affiliate revenue while maintaining high editorial standards. Judges noted that the team has remained both relevant and essential, cementing What Car?’s position as the go-to resource for UK car buyers.
